CANNIBAL CORPSE: More In-Studio Video Footage Available
More video footage from CANNIBAL CORPSE's Torture studio sessions is currently viewable at their official landing page. The near-ten minute long segment documents some of the guitar solo and vocal tracking and includes a candid glimpse of vocalist Corpsegrinder’s method for loosening his vocal cords during the lengthy recording sessions at Mana Recording Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The band's twelfth offering of audio molestation will be available to North American fans on March 13, 2012 via Metal Blade Records. In an 9/10 review of the record, Decibel Magazine proclaims: "As always, the band's musicianship is downright inspiring. And their songwriting has never been better." Zero Tolerance crowned the record "pure death metal mastery from one of the best bands the genre has ever produced," while Metal Army America adds: "The masters have turned in effort that will puzzled over, studied and followed forever."
Torture was produced by Hate Eternal's Erik Rutan at his own Mana Recording Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida as well as Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas.

Trioscapes to release new album "Separate Realities" in May on Metal Blade Records!
The Dan Briggs from BTBAM-lead project offers a hefty helping of progressive music
March 12th, 2012 - Trioscapes started in the summer of 2011 when bassist Dan Briggs (Between the Buried and Me) contacted Walter Fancourt (tenor saxophone/flute) and Matt Lynch (drums) about working up a rendition of the Mahavishnu Orchestra classic "Celestial Terrestrial Commuters". The group also messed around with a few original ideas with the intent of playing a one-off live show.
However, after rehearsing the material and playing the show, the group decided the music was so demanding and fun to perform that there should be more of a future for the project. A few more songs were written near the end of the summer and a full length album was recorded the first week of October with Jamie King in Winston-Salem, NC. Trioscapes combines elements of 70s fusion with progressive rock, dark syncopated grooves, a flare for the psychedelic, and an unabashed love for both quirky Zappa-ish melodies and thunderous abrasive trade-off lines.
Trioscapes currently has one show confirmed for this May to celebrate the release of the CD on Metal Blade Records. The 12" LP is also available via Dan Briggs's own Hogweed & Fugue Records. Both will be available for purchase at this show. More shows are currently being confirmed.
YES! Weekly, the Greensboro, NC entertainment magazine, just named Dan Briggs the region's best bassist and Trioscapes the best new band. YES! praises Briggs' work: "his marathon bass runs for the progressive death metal quintet [BTBAM] are well noted, Briggs' work with the newly formed Trioscapes to this point is equally impressive. The abrupt time signature changes remain, but his style in the fiery jazz-fusion trio recalls Jonas Hellborg considered cadences in the Mahavishnu Orchestra mixed with a little bit of Bill Laswell fuzz bass." Read the full article HERE <http://www.yesweekly.com/triad/article-13744-best-of-the-music-endorsements.html> .
A track from Separate Realities can be heard and the album can be pre-ordered now at http://www.metalblade.com/trioscapes. Separate Realities will be available May 8th in North America and May 7th in Europe.

ALLEGAEON to release new album, "Formshifter", in May; new song available now!
Behind-the-scenes studio video also available
In January 2012, Allegaeon traveled to Southern California and entered Lambesis Studios with Daniel Castleman (As I Lay Dying, Impending Doom, Carnifex, Winds of Plague) to begin work on Formshifter. The latest album brings forward a sound that both plays off the band's previous releases mixed in with some new flavors that will be sure to enthrall old and new fans alike.
Guitarist Greg Burgess had this to say about the new album, "With "Formshifter", I think we kept the sound a lot of our fans love about us, but achieved them through certain compositional challenges. Be it style, or genre mixing, I believe that we seamlessly applied certain elements we didn't have on Fragments, and it added a color and dimension we didn't have before". Guitarist Ryan Glisan adds, "This album to me indicates the future of the band but nods to our past as well. It, to me, is more of where I have envisioned our band being since I started the band a couple years back, it relies on similar songwriting structures and musicality but adds more groove and memorable riffing than our previous efforts."
Lyrics, an oft over-looked facet of death metal is one the more interesting aspects of Allegaeon. The band crafts their prose with a bit of a different mindset - often touching on space, civilization and philosophy. Vocalist Ezra Haynes elaborates on the band's first single from the album; "Tartessos: The Hidden Xenocryst is definitely one that sticks out to me. I was raised on Edgar Cayce readings and tales of Atlantis. When Greg [Burgess] and I knew we wanted to touch base on an ancient civilization, Atlantis was the logical choice."
Formshifter t-shirt/CD pre-order bundles, a stream and download of Tartessos: The Hidden Xenocryst, as well as the behind-the-scenes studio video can both be seen now at metalblade.com/allegaeon <http://www.metalblade.com/allegaeon> .
"The new face of ruthless modern death metal." Metal Hammer Magazine
Formshifter will be released on May 8, 2012 via Metal Blade Records.
